How to play Rackled

A small board, a bag of letters in a fixed order, and a handful of plays. Everyone gets the same bag, so everyone gets racked the same way. At the end you find out what the best line was worth.

Tap a tile, then a square, to place it; tap a placed tile to take it back, or Recall to take them all back. Play word commits the turn and draws your rack back up from the bag.

Words must connect to tiles already down, sit in one line, and every word they touch has to be real. Tiles left in your rack or in the bag are subtracted at the end.

A round, step by step

  1. Choose a difficulty and a mode, then start.
  2. Place tiles from your rack to make a word that joins the board.
  3. Play the word. Your rack refills from the bag.
  4. Keep going until your plays run out, then see your score against the best line.

The rules have the details, the cells and tiles pages say what everything is worth, and the glossary explains the terms.
